Accounting and Administrative Manager

The Accounting and Administrative Manager will manage the company’s accounts payable and receivable.

To be successful in this role, they should be able to monitor daily transactions and recommend ways we can improve financial health. They will play a vital role in the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with the law and accounting accuracy.

Duties:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports
  • Organize and update financial records as needed (digital and physical)
  • Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
  • Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support inter company activities
  • Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments
  • Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins
  • Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable
  • Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status
  • Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
  • Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST …), audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal
  • Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
  • Monitor bookkeeping activities regularly
  • Keep company financial information confidential
  • Establish accounting policies and procedures
  • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations

Attributes:

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Account is preferred
  • Has in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting procedures
  • Proven work experience as a Certified Public Accountant or Senior Accountant
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
  • A good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with accounting software, like Quickbooks
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
  • With a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA certification
